Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Today after your early breakfast, your safari driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala and transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park, one of The World UNESCO heritage sites in Uganda and home to the few remaining mountain gorillas and countless birds.

You will have lunch en-route at Igongo Cultural centre or at Agip and after lunch you will proceed to the park arriving in the evening in time for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking

Today is the day you have been dreaming of. You will wake up early, have breakfast and after breakfast your guide will drive you to the park offices for briefing about gorilla tracking, the dos and don’ts so that you can enjoy your experience. After briefing, you will start penetrating the thick rain forest to start the trek to the gorillas. Coming eye to eye with these endangered mountain gorillas is an experience that will never be forgotten. They are only found in three countries and half of them are found in Uganda.

The trek will be guided by professional and knowledgeable guides from Uganda wildlife Authority and the it can take 2-7 hours to find the gorillas since finding them depends on where they slept the previous night.
Once you found them, you will have an hour with them. You will then be required to move away to another part of the place to have lunch and after lunch you will go back to the park offices for a small ceremony.

You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 3: Lake Bunyonyi boat trip

Today after a hearty breakfast, you will be driven to Lake Bunyonyi, a very photogenic lake found between Kabale and Kisoro.

On your way to the lake, you will have great scenery views. Lake Bunyonyi which in the local language means a lake with many little birds is rumored to be the second deepest lake in Africa and it is the deepest in Uganda. It is safe for swimming since it is bilharzia free and has no animals. The lake is endowed with 29 islands.

You will get to the lodge, have lunch and after lunch you will go for a guided motorized boat trip on the lakes, learning about the different Islands that include the punishment island and the history of the area.

You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 4: Transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe or Kigali
