How to book gorilla trekking permits in Uganda
The best way to book your gorilla trekking permit is to use a registered tour operator in Uganda to secure the gorilla permit on your behalf.
When you book a safari through Gorilla Link Tours, we do book and secure gorilla trekking permits on behalf of our clients. It is all inclusive
However, if a traveler does not want to book a safari through us, we can still help secure the gorilla trekking permits for them. A traveler would only pay a handling fee of 50 USD, per person.
The permit would then be delivered to their place of convenience in Kampala, Entebbe or at their lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National park, or Mgahinga Gorilla National park.

It is really hard to book a gorilla trekking permit through Uganda Wildlife Authority. Gorilla trekking permits are highly demanded and must be booked way in advance. What is the best time for gorilla trekking in Uganda?
Gorilla trekking can be done through out the year. So it is up to when one wants to go on a gorilla trekking safari.
Mid December to February, June to September are the dry seasons and so the treks are more comfortable.
March-May and October-December are the wet months. The advantage of gorilla trekking during this time is that mountain gorillas hang out more in the lower slopes of the mountains. This is because food is in plenty and the time for trekking can be shorter than during the dry seasons
Where to go gorilla trekking in Uganda?
Uganda is home to half of the remaining mountain gorillas. There are two national parks in Uganda where to go gorilla trekking. The most popular one is Bwindi Impenetrable national park, and the less visited gorilla park is Mgahinga Gorilla National park.
