Short horse safaris in Jinja.
The short horseback safaris run from 1 hour, 1 and a half hours, 2 hour & 3 hour rides, every day from 10 am and from 2pm. Booking in advance is highly encouraged since there limited horse and guides.

Sunset horseback ride
The sunset horseback rides run from 4pm when it is cooler and last for 90 minutes and include water taxi transport from either Adrift or Nile River Explorers Campsites. A minimum of two people is required for this ride to take place. Included too are beer, local spirits, juice and sodas.

Overnight Horseback Safari in Jinja
Overnight horseback safari in Jinja are about 15km down the river from stables to The Haven Lodge. Only experienced riders can go for this safari since the route and length of this ride taken is physically demanding. The rider must be able to canter for extended periods and be competent riding in English saddles. Kindly note that there are no western saddles) and the rider will be in the saddle for roughly 4-5 hours per day.

For these overnight horseback safaris to take place, a minimum number of two people is required for them to run although single riders can also inquire about the safari at times there are other single riders waiting on a second person for an overnight horseback safari to run

Kindly note that the rate of this safari includes meals and accommodation at The Haven Lodge but excludes drinks. The Lodge must be booked in advance because it gets fully booked during high season

Pony rides are for 30 minutes and are for kids between the ages of 4 to 10 years and it is a must for our guide to walk and ride with the child at all times

If you have never ridden a horse
You don’t have to worry if you have never ridden a horse before. There are short safaris that require little or no horse riding experience. Riders in this category are given a brief training before the riding safari starts, offering basics of controlling your horse. The horse are well trained and understand what is required of them, making the safari very comfortable at your own comfortable pace.
